The Advanced Language Course is our most comprehensive course, designed to enable fluent reading of Scripture with attention to meaning, context, and personal application.

What Will You Learn?

  • By the end of this course, learners should be able to:
  • Read full chapters of the Bible with fluency and comprehension.
  • Interpret Scripture using biblical context and comparison with other passages.
  • Reflect personally through structured writing and journaling.
  • Prepare and deliver short devotionals or Bible study sessions.
  • Memorize and recite key Scripture passages in their native language.

Course Content

Module 1: Reading with Purpose
• Overview of biblical genres and themes • Setting spiritual and learning goals • Texts: 2 Timothy 2:15, Psalm 119:105 • Activities: o Personal Bible reading plan development o Group sharing on favorite passages

Module 2: Chapter Reading and Thematic Study
Focus: Comprehension of full chapters and themes across Scripture • Texts: Romans 8, Matthew 6, Psalm 27, John 15 • Lessons Include: o Identifying key messages and repeated ideas o Mapping themes (e.g., faith, love, obedience) • Activities: o Chapter summaries and group presentations o Personal theme journal entries

Module 3: Interpretation Using Scripture Alone
Focus: Using the Bible to interpret the Bible • Lessons Include: o Cross-referencing techniques o Understanding context (historical, literary, spiritual) • Activities: o Compare and contrast passages (e.g., Isaiah 53 & John 19) o Word studies and topical outlines

Module 4: Reflective Writing and Journaling
Focus: Personal application and insight • Lessons Include: o Writing devotionals o Keeping a prayer journal • Activities: o Weekly journaling prompts o Sharing reflections in peer groups

Module 5: Teaching Preparation and Facilitation
Focus: Structuring and delivering a message or Bible study • Lessons Include: o Preparing a teaching outline o Using questions to guide discussion • Activities: o Practice devotionals in small groups o Feedback and refinement sessions

Module 6: Scripture Memorization and Spiritual Practice
Focus: Embedding Scripture in heart and habit • Texts for Memorization: Psalm 1, John 3:16–21, Romans 12:1–2 • Activities: o Recitation exercises o Creating visual memory aids (posters, flashcards) o End-of-course personal devotional sharing
